My fondest memories of my uncle Tom will always be the excitement he brought with him. I was sworn to secrecy as he played a Santa Claus at a Christmas gathering for my younger cousins. From him I learned card and magic tricks which I then used to impress my friends. He always had the ready joke. When I was 14 years old Tom sold me a car he no longer needed. My first car--one of the happiest days of my life! When Tom dropped off the car, he took one look at my height and remarked, "Well, all you need do now is put a chair up on that seat so you can drive it!" Later, I always enjoyed the colorful stories of his many and varied adverntures. There was never a dull moment when he was around. I miss him already.

Tom was a loving and kind neighbor. We could call on him any time of the day or night for a helping hand. Not many knew of the favors he did for my mom and me in helping with my dad. God Bless your family.
