Newt, thank you for all the times we had opportunities to talk. You taught me many things especially how to pick myself up when others knocked me down. Your words of wisdom will always remain with me. You were our West Point Optimist Club and I will make sure the club continues in your honor! Sandie and kids you are all in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything I can do all you have to do is call! Remember the "OPTIMIST CREED" that Newt lived by and you will calm your peace of mind. May God Bless you all!

Newt was a great man, whom I will remember forever. Our families have a bond that not many can say they have. The Linnenbrinks and the Kollaths will forever be one family and we owe it all to Newt and "Big Ed". You are in my thoughts and prayers. May we always stay in touch just like we have the past 40 plus years!!! Love you guys!!!

May you find comfort in knowing that Newt is resting with Christ, his eternal reward granted. He was such a personableman. Our Daberkow family knew this by his integrity as a Vocational Ag teacher, as a AAL Agent, and as a lifelong friend in our community. God bless you through the days of sadness and joy for the special memories he has given.
