My boys really enjoyed having Mary as a teacher. They were always eager to go to school because they had such a caring and wonderful teacher who created a loving environment.

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. I always looked forward to seeing Mary at school each morning. She was a wonderful teacher and role model. She was so proud of her family and especially her 3 wonderful children.

I grew up across the road from Mary and the Devereaux family. I have many wonderful memories...from the huge kitchen table, the number of beds in one house, the amount of bread that Mildred made and then the giant black chalk board on the wall that Mary and I would write on.
