Kathleen Louise Ellermeier, 57, of rural Scribner, died Sunday February 17, 2008 at West Point Living Center. Services will be 2:00 pm. Wednesday, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner with Vicar Judy Johnson officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, rural Hooper. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point with family present 5:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice or West Point Beemer Public School for Technology. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Kathy was born August 21, 1950 in Omaha to Henry and Sylvia Desler Klemme. She grew up in Murdock, graduating from High School there in 1968. She received a Business Education Degree from UNO in 1972. On July 28, 1973, she married Dean Ellermeier. The couple lived in rural Scribner while Kathy taught business at Scribner High School until 1997 when she took a teaching position in West Point and was the school’s technology director. She enjoyed being year book sponsor. Kathy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and school related organizations. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She loved her family. Kathy was an avid sports fan who followed the Huskers. Survivors include her husband, Dean, of Scribner, sons; Craig (Theresa Ho) Ellermeier of Iowa City, Iowa, and Jeremy (Rebecca) Ellermeier of Champaign, Illinois, grandchildren Lexi and Katiya Ellermeier, brother Steve (Betsey) Klemme of Murdock, mother in law Evelyn Ellermeier of Scribner and an uncle Herbert Klemme of Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her parents and father in law, Louis Ellermeier.
