My Daddy was my hero.I would always brag about him to my friends and tell them how much he sacrificed for his kids.If I ever came home Dad was there and happy to see me.I loved him and told him once or twice when he was living at home with Ralph, who I want to thank for living with him till he could not live there anymore. I will always be grateful to you Ralph for doing that and I will never forget it.You too Ger, thank you. When dad moved to Dodge I just realized I had a new home too. Getting dads things from his room after the funeral was like moving from home. Where dad was is where my home was. When I was with dad after a year or so of being in Dodge I could not call him dad to his face anymore when I was alone with him. Now it was daddy. When we walked out of the church and they loaded the casket into the hurst I said crying " There goes our little Daddy". I said and feel that for a reason, because after he sat there in the nursing home with his heart breaking he never really complained and he was like a lamb. Like the Lamb of God. Jesus said we need to become like little children to enter the gates of heaven. I saw an 80 year old little child in that wheel chair who wanted to love and be loved, who was now innocent after so much suffering in this life , earlier with mom becoming sick and dying, later when his children left home and moved out, and then his last 6 years in the nursing home. I saw a little child ready to meet the Lord and sit on his lap as a child. That is why I would call him daddy to his face. I thank all of my brothers and sisters for being such great people. I am so proud to be in this family God gave me. I thank you Lord for giving all 7 of my siblings great, wonderful spouses.I think mom helped out there. So to my in laws I want to say thank you for loving my brothers and sisters and taking such good care of them. I also want to thank you for loving my daddy as much as you did, there is nothing I can do to repay you for that. So now Bill, Mark, Karen, John ,Jerome, Mindy and Jim, you are my heros. I am eternally grateful to all of you for loving my brothers and sisters. You made dad proud of you too. Thank you God for giving me a chance to tell my dad he was the best dad ever and that I loved him. I can never repay you Lord God, the King of Love, for that opportunity. I wish I could have held all of my family in my arms when they were crying at the funeral. But I trusted Jesus and Mary helped us through that hour. I love all of my entire family, so very much and I thank them again for everything they do for me. Thank you Daddy for all that you did for us. You was there everyday we needed you and everyday we thought we did not need you. I am sorry for the times I hurt you Daddy. I wish I could have been a better son to you. I would give my arm to be able to run and get you something now and do it without complaining. Lord I wish I was worthy of all the gifts you have given me. Thank you to all of my Dads friends and family for helping Dad out when he needed it and for just being his friends. May the King of Love bring all of us together again in heaven to be joyous and happy forever. Heaven is never having to say good bye to your loved ones. Praise be to you Lord Jesus Christ, King of everlasting Love.

Grandpa - You were the greatest, most caring grandparent anyone could ask for. I will never forget your daily visits to our house, your great stories, your amazing sense of humor and most of all, your extreme love for your family. Without you, our family would not be as close as it is today. You did an amazing job raising your 8 children and I can only hope to find a husband some day that is half as great as you. Rest in peace and see you in the funny papers!!!
