Ron was a college roommate of mine at Kansas State University from 1970 to 1972. We shared many great times going to KSU sporting events and we shared a love of hunting and dogs. He was the one who got me involved in duck hunting which became a hobby of mine that I have shared with three great hunting dogs. Most importantly, I came up to Nebraska to visit him on New Year's Eve in 1976 and he set me up on a blind date with my future wife, Cheryl. We have spent 44 wonderful years together and I have Ron to thank for that. I last got to visit personally with Ron in 2013 when he stopped by my house in Stillwater for a couple of days on his way to visit his son in Dallas. We had a great time fishing my pond and catching up on old times. Ron was a fine individual and will be missed. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and friends.
