Charles Bales, 63, of West Point, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at his home in West Point. Funeral services will be a later date. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.
Charles R. Bales was born on April 28, 1955 to Thomas and Ramona (Christ) Bales in Oakland. He grew up in West Point before graduating high school in Kearney. Charles continued his schooling and apprenticeship to become a journeyman electrician. After moving to Colorado, he continued to do electrical work and owned his own electrician business. Charles moved to West Point around 2005 and continued to work as an electrician until his health no longer allowed him to.
Charles loved to fish, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and socialize with friends.
Charles is survived by his mother, Ramona of Columbus; siblings, Mary Trevino of Columbus and Glen (Tina) Bales of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in-law, Nancy Bales, of Wisner; brother-in-law, Roger Grashorn of West Point, and several nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and siblings, James Bales and Beverly Grashorn.
