Willis Miller, 82, of West Point, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at West Point Living Center. Funeral services are 10:30 Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Bancroft. Burial with Military Honors to follow at church cemetery. Visitation 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Willis was born November 16, 1928 on the family farm north of West Point in Cuming County to William and Alma Paulsen Miller. He grew up on the farm, attended Zion Lutheran Church School, and served as a diesel mechanic in the US Army from 1951 until 1954. Willis then farmed with his brother, Rodney. Willis was a member of Zion Lutheran Church rural Bancroft. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors. Survivors include brother Rodney of Bancroft, sister Lavonne Tietz of West Point, niece Jill Tietz, nephews Brian (Holly) Tietz and Brent (Teresa) Tietz, Great-nieces Paige Tietz, Carly Tietz and Caragan Tietz, Great-nephews Taylor Tietz and Carsten Tietz. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ardyce and brother in law Louis Tietz.
