Wilfred H. Schinstock, 88, of West Point, died Sunday April 29, 2012 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Wednesday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday and Public Wake with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be 7:00 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Endowment or West Point Community Theatre. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wilfred Henry Schinstock was born April 12, 1924 in West Point to Henry and Anna Fisher Schinstock. He was a 1942 graduate of Guardian Angels Catholic School. On October 16, 1947, Wilfred married Amy Rozendal at St. Mary’s Catholic Church rectory. Wilfred worked with his father and uncle at Schinstock Hog Market, retiring 1986. Wilfred was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Wilfred enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling. He was an avid sports fan. Survivors include sons Richard (Cynthia) of Fremont, Daniel (Kathy) of Lincoln, David (Colette) of West Point, Randy (Jean) of Redding, CA, Robert (Patty) of West Point, ten grandchildren, Melinda and Sean Schinstock, Nichole Petersen, Chad and Cory Schinstock, Alicia Minor, Ben and Brian Schinstock and Kevin and Kristen Schinstock, six great-grandchildren, sister Elizabeth Bliemeister andbrother Francis (Marilyn) Schinstock. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Amy in July 2011 and granddaughter Christina Schinstock.
