Wendelin Henry Rolf, 77, of West Point died February 23, 2005 at the West Point Living Center in West Point. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Wake services will be 7:30 pm. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 4:00 pm. Friday and continue at the Church until Wake time. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels or Central Catholic. Wendelin Henry Rolf was born March 11, 1927 to Philip and Kathyren (Schmidt) Rolf west of West Point. He was baptized, confirmed and attended schools at St. Boniface at Monterey. On August 10, 1948 he married Lucille Eggerling at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Stanton. The couple lived, farmed and raised their family on Wendelin’s family farm until retiring into West Point in 1989. Wendelin served as a trustee and was a past member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a current member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Survivors include his wife Lucille of West Point, daughter Mary (Chris) Fixley, Omaha, sons Art (Arlene), Michael (Pam), and Brian (Jeanette) all of West Point, Robert (Marlene) of Dodge, Paul of Palisade, Colorado, David of Pilger, Richard (Stephanie) of Omaha, Ken (Lois) of Elkhorn, sisters Irene (Victor) Schlautman, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mary Ann (Walter) Steffensmeier of Dodge, Lorraine (Jerome) Emanuel of North Bend 21 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Leander and sister Hildegard.
