Vincent Lawrence Ortmeier, 67, of Dodge died May 22, 2005 at his cabin at Fremont Lakes. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverends Mark McKercher and Paul Ortmeier concelebrating. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery with military honors graveside. Holy Name Society Rosary will be 3:00 Tuesday and Public Wake Services will be 7:30 both at St. Wenceslaus. Memorials may be made to the Church, Dodge Fire and Rescue or American Legion Post # 122. Visitation will be 11:00 am. till 8:30 pm. at St. Wenceslaus. Those wishing to leave online condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Vincent was born April 9, 1938, at Dodge to Anton and Katherine Kreikemeier Ortmeier. He attended country school and was a 1955 graduate of Dodge High School. He served in the US Army. On September 3, 1959 he married Luann G. Svoboda at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church at Heun, rural Clarkson. The couple farmed south of Dodge until moving into Dodge in 1991. Vince retired in 2003. Vince was a member of St Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, and was Active in the American Legion Post # 122 where he was past Commander. Survivors include his wife Luann G. of Dodge, daughters Teresa (James) Belter of Louisville, Sandra (Loran) Rolf of West Point, and Christine Ortmeier and her fianc Chad Phillips of Kansas City, MO, sons David L. (Lynn) of Dodge, John G. (Teri) of Scribner, and Allan (Jennifer) of Dodge, sisters Mildred Uher of Dodge, Patricia (Joseph) Svoboda of Howells, brothers Roman (Alvina) Raymond (Lorraine), Gilbert (Lorraine) all of Dodge, grandchildren Stephany, Ashley and Jacob L. Rolf, Clayton Trevor and Bret Belter, Jason, Blake, Austin, Jaren, Owen Ortmeier. He is preceded in death by his parents.
