Victor Leonard Heimann, 92, of Snyder, died November 1, 2004 at Good Samaritan Home in Scribner. Victor was born March 27, 1910 at Monterey to John and Justina Meister Heimann and attended St. Boniface Catholic School. On April 22, 1936 he married Emma Wiesen at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dodge. The couple farmed North West of Snyder until moving into Snyder in 1975. After his retirement he sold feed at Golden Sun Feeds in Snyder. Victor was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church where had served as trustee, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. He had served on the Coop and Rural Fire Boards. Survivors include his wife, Emma, of Scribner, daughters Mary Ann (Tom) Wordekemper of Lavista, Lorraine (Gilbert) Ortmeier of Dodge and Virgene Retzlaff of Algonquin, Illinois, son Ervin (Arlene) of Snyder, sister Gertrude Heimann of West Point, brother Richard Heimann of West Point, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe, Art, and Bernard, grandchildren Randy and Rodney Wordekemper and Mary Ortmeier and a great grandchild Jordon Wordekemper. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Thursday at St. Leo Catholic Church in Snyder with Rev. Mike Eckley as celebrant. Wake services will be 7:00 pm. Wednesday at St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Leo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home in Scribner. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 am. till 11:00 am. at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point and Wednesday 1:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. at St. Leo Catholic Church in Snyder, or those wishing may sign the register on line at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Stokely Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
