Vera Warner, 81, of Fremont, formerly of West Point, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, July 28 at 2:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home chapel. Family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Cuming County Historical Society. Vera Mathilda Warner was born on December 21, 1934 to Theodore and Mathilda (Prawitz) Buchholz in Bancroft. After graduating from West Point Public High School in 1952, she worked at cold storage. On April 17, 1954, Vera married Myron Warner and the couple made their home in West Point. Later on, she moved to Pathfinders in Fremont. Vera was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Cuming County Historical Society. She was also on the board of the West Point Public School Alumni Association. Vera was a wonderful homemaker and loved to go antiquing. Vera is survived by her children, Scott Michael (Bonnie) Warner of Fremont, Karen Marie (Mike) King of Omaha, and Daniel Dean (Staci) Warner of Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Michelle Harvey, Michael Warner, Tyler Warner, Anthony Perkins, Brandon Perkins, and Drew Kemerling; great-grandchild, Elias Harvey; sister, Marcella Wilde of Sedalia, MO; and brother, Theodore Buchholz of West Point. Vera is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron’Red’ Warner; sister, Delilah Mae (Walter) Schmidt; brother, Oral Buchholz; sister-in-law, Lorraine Buchholz; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilde.
