Thomas Bernard Heimann, 54, of West Point, died Monday, November 5, 2007 at his farm home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Mark McKercher as celebrant. Public Wake with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be 7:00 pm. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery at Monterey. Visitation will be noon until 4:00 pm. at the funeral home and continue at the Church. Memorials may be made to Central Catholic Endowment. Tom was born November 12, 1952 at West Point to August “Gus” and Mildred “Mickie” Wackel Heimann. He attended St. Boniface Catholic Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1971. He married Lori Yosten in 1982, the couple later divorced. Tom worked as truck driver and part time farmer. He had been employed at West Point Welding, West Point International, Welding Construction and Fremont Consolidated Carriers. He was currently working at Gerhold Construction and Beed Transportation. Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and was passionate about following his children in their activities. Survivors include daughter Geri Rose Heimann of West Point, sons: Joseph, Anthony and Brandon Heiman all of West Point, his father, Gus, of West Point, sisters; Sister Nadine Heimann of Grand Island, Patty (David) Hemmer of Lindsay, and Kathleen (Robert) Mulder of Lincoln, numerous cousins and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother.
