Thomas Charles Ernesti, 74, of West Point, died October 18, 2005 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Public wake services will be7:00pmThursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Renovation Fund. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 4:00 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home then continue at the church. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com.Tom was born May 24, 1931 at West Point to Martin and Maurine Nitz Ernesti. He was a 1949 graduate of Guardian Angels Catholic School and 1957 graduate of Creighton School of Pharmacy. On June 23, 1956 he married Margaret “Mike” Lannan. Tom worked at Sass Drug Store before purchasing the pharmacy in 1969. They later acquired Kuncl Drug in Beemer becoming Beemer Sundries. He retired in May of 2005. Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he had been involved in the choir, started playing the church organ in high school and played on and off for 50 years. He had served on the Parish Council and Central Catholic School Board and was a Knights of Columbus member. Tom also had been involved with Choraleers, Jaycees, and Lions Club and was a member of the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Advisory Board and the Nebraska Pharmacy Association. Survivors include his wife Margaret “Mike” of West Point, daughter Michelle (Jon) Einfalt, sons Jeff (Kathie) of West Point and Robert (Karen) of Lincoln, brother Joel of West Point, grandchildren Jennifer, Ashley, Brittney, and Zach Ernesti, Mackenzie, Mallory and Max Einfalt. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers David and Michael.
