Shirley J. Miller, 72, of Crowell, died April 17, 2008 at Creighton University Hospital in Omaham.ass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Cremation will follow. Public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. She grew up in Hinton, IA and graduated from High School there in 1954. On May 22, 1957, she married Albert N. “Junior” Miller at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City. The couple lived most of their lives in Illinois where Shirley worked various jobs including trucking with her husband. Following Junior’s death, Shirley moved to Crowell where she lived with Wayne and Marianne Wimer. Shirley enjoyed card playing and was a member of Scribner Education Association. Survivors include daughters Melodie (Keith) Kibler of Plainfield, IL, Donell (Kevin) Mayfield of Golden Valley, AZ, son Scott (Paty) Miller of Joliette, IL, brothers Don (Ardie) Arndt and Gordon (Doris) Arndt all of Hinton IA, grandchildren Daniel and Samantha Kibler, Mark and Jeffrey Kayfish, Jacob and Nicole Miller. She is preceded in death by her husband in June of 2005 and her parents.
