Shelly Koehlmoos, 42, of West Point died at her home in Taylor, Texas. Memorial visitation with family present will be 6:00 pm. until 8:0 pm. Wednesday July 1, 2009 at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Private family services will be held with burial at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established. Shelly was born November 21, 1966 at West Point to Larry and Maxine “Mick” Vogltance Petz. She attended West Point Public schools graduating with the class of 1985. She attended Wayne State College and University of Nebraska Lincoln and studied architecture. On March 11, 1989, Shelly married Steve Koehlmoos at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. The couple was stationed in Germany, Maryland, Tennessee, and Texas. They later divorced. Shelly enjoyed working crafts and volunteering at her church. She will be remembered as a compassionate person. Survivors include sons Jonathan and Eric of Round Rock, TX, parents Larry and Mick Petz, brother Dave (Carrie) Petz and sister Laura (Jon) Hansen all of West Point, and nieces and nephews.
