Rosie Helen Throener, 91 of Dodge, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Parkview nursing home in Dodge. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey with Reverend Patrick McLaughlin as celebrant. Christian Mothers Rosary will be 3:00 pm. and Public Wake services will be 7:00 pm. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Friday at the church in Dodge. Memorials may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge is in charge of arrangements. Rosie was born May 12, 1917 on the farm near Monterey to Joseph and Theodora Stieren Frickenstein and attended St. Boniface Catholic School. On March 27, 1951, Rosie married Rudolph Throener at St. Boniface. The couple farmed north of Dodge, retiring into Dodge in October of 1986. Rosie was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, Altar Society and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards and listening to polka music. Rosie looked forward to her Sunday trips to Norfolk to visit her son, Victor. Survivors include her daughter Mary Kay (Tim) Hegarty of Dodge, son Victor of Norfolk and sister in law Eleanor Frickenstein of West Point. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph in May of 1990, brothers Joseph, Anton, Meinolph, and Leo Frickenstein and sister Margaret Krienert.
