Ronald Dale Halverson, 49, of West Point, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Services will be 10:30 am. Wednesday, at Grace Lutheran Church with Reverend Christian Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Ron was born January 7, 1958 at Beloit, Wisconsin to Conrad and Norma George Halverson. As a child, he moved to the Kenneth, Minnesota area. Ron graduated with the class of 1977 from Adrian High School in Adrian, Minnesota. Ron worked for Kunkel Trucking and Adrian Coop. On February 29, 1988, he married Wanda Hinrichs Grave at the United Methodist Church in Adrian. The couple moved to West Point, Nebraska in 1996. Ron worked at Bob & Tim’s Conoco in Wisner and was currently employed at D & S Tire in West Point. Ron was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Ron enjoyed Fantasy Football, All Star Wrestling, and was a huge Minnesota Vikings Fan. He mostly loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of them. Survivors include wife Wanda, of West Point, daughters Cassie (fiancee; Jesse Thiesse) Grave of Adrian, MN, and Chelsea Halverson of West Point, son Staff Sergeant Cody Grave of Ft. Lewis, WA, mother Norma Groenewold of Rushmore, MN, sister Barbara Freimuth of Worthington, MN, brother Randy (Pat) Halverson of Fairview, SD, sisters-in-law Jeri (Jim ) Lenz of Ellsworth, MN and Pat (Rick) Timmerman of Colo, IA, and brother-in-law Mike (Diann) Hinrichs of Ellsworth, MN. He is preceded in death by his father, step-father Herman Groenewold, brother Lyman Halverson, sister Connie Halverson, and his parents-in-law George and Minnie Hinrichs.
