Robert Peitzmeier, 80, of West Point, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, rural West Point with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. Lunch will follow at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church basement in Dodge. Wake services with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be be 7:00 pm. Sunday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Visitation is noon until 5:00 pm. Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point and continue at 6:00 pm. with family present at St. Boniface. Memorials may be made to the church. Stokely Funeral Home at West Point is in charge of arrangements. Robert was born November 6, 1932 on the family farm near Aloys to Peter and Elizabeth Hunke Peitzmeier and attended St. Aloysius Catholic School. On February 11, 1958, Robert married Rose Marie Meister at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey. The couple dairy farmed and operated a farrow to finish hog operation. Robert was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, the Dodge American Legion and VFW. He bowled on the St. Boniface bowling team, enjoyed attending local baseball games, playing cards and considered the Cuming County Fair his vacation. Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie of West Point, daughters Lola (Jeff) Mohr of Omaha and Linda Brabec of Clarkson, sons Dale of West Point and Kevin(Sue) of Omaha, sisters Mary Ann (Norbert) Ruskamp of Dodge, Millie (Dan) Rief of Columbus, and Lorie (Bill) Endsleyof Overland Park, KS, brothers Andy (DiAnn) Peitzmeier of Norfolk, and Ambrose (Pauleen) Peitzmeier of West Point, grandchildren Stephanie (Fred) Zwahlen, Chris (Ashley) Mohr, Rodney (Ashley) Brabec, Amy (fianc Dwight Ohlde) Brabec, Megan Brabec, Kyle Herout, Cody Herout, and Paige Peitzmeier, great-grandchildren Tom & Leo Zwahlen, Kenna and Ellie Brabec, and Chelsy Brabec, and sister-in-law Nell Peitzmeier of Hooper. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Gerard in 1969, brothers Henry and Joe Peitzmeier, son’; in-law Ken Brabec, great grandson Trevor Brabec, and sisters-in-law Helen Peitzmeier and Mary Ann Peitzmeier
