Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 6 at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point with Rev. Priscilla Hukki officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or the American Veterans Park. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.
Robert “Bucky” Kindschuh was born to Carl and LaVerne (Kahler) Kindschuh on the family farm in rural Burt, County.
Bucky has been a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church. Bucky was married to Charlene (Lantry) Kindschuh for 3 years, Virginia (Hanna) Kindschuh for 31 years and Alice Fredrickson Kindschuh for 2 years. Bucky has been married to Joyce Westerman Kindschuh for the past 14 years.
Bucky went into the Army in 1954, serving in Alaska until 1956. He worked at IBP for 10 years and State of Nebraska Dept. of Roads for 28 years, until his retirement in 2008. Bucky enjoyed coffee with the guys at Bud’s, watching TV and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Joyce; daughter, Robin (Roger) Van Buren of Valley; son, Robert Kindschuh Jr. of West Point; sister, Shirley Gant of Chanute, KS; step-daughter, Vicki (Verlyn) Furchert of West Point; step-son, Roger (Sharon) Neeman of Estherville, IA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-children, step-grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Bucky was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil (LaVerne) Bloedorn; spouses Charlene, Virginia and Alice; brothers Ronald and Garrey Kindschuh and Donald (Patsy) Bloedorn
