January 1, 1970 - April 30, 2008

Richard “Dick” Smith, 87, of West Point, died April 30, 2008 at Colonial Haven Nursing home in Beemer. Services will be 10:30 am. Saturday at Trinity Church in West Point. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery with military honors graveside. Visitaion noon until 8:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include wife, Marie Scherer Smith, West Point, stepdaughter Susan (Richard) Hicks of Sioux ity, IA, and Robin (Richard) Krapfl of Lincoln, 4 step grandchildren 3 step grandchildren, aunt Emily (Mrs. Harvey) Mumm of Fremont, cousin, nieces and nephews.
