Raymond Dinslage, 86, of West Point, died, Friday, May 20, 2011 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Aloys, west of West Point. with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant with burial in the Church Cemetery. Wake services will be 7:00 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home Chapel in West Point. Memorials may be to St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home and 9:30 am. Tuesday at the church in Aloys prior to the Funeral Mass. Raymond was born June 14, 1924on the family farm In Cuming County Near Aloys to John F. and Catherine Guenther Dinslage. He attended St. Aloysius School at Aloys. On February 23, 1949 Raymond married Erma Uher at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells. The couple farmed in Colfax County for 14 years before moving to the farm 5 miles west of West Point. Raymond was also a welder and helped the neighbors whenever they need welding repairs. In later years as Raymond semi retired he did day work in the area. Raymond retired in May of 2010 and the couple moved into West Point. Raymond was an active member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Raymond enjoyed fishing, particularly at Johnson Lake, near Lexington and playing cards, riding horses and feeding cattle. He also enjoyed building tractors. Survivors include his wife, Erma, of West Point, daughter Renee (Steve) Bossard of Norfolk, sons Gary of LaVista, Gene of Clarkson, Ken (Sheryl) of Omaha, grandchildren Brent Dinslage, Kristi Dinslage, Derek Dinslage, Tara (Andy) Shannon, Megan (Brandon) Beatty, brothers Wendelin Dinslage of West Point and Norbert (Elaine) Dinslage of Clarkson. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren Allison and Bryan Dinslage, sister Angela Steffensmeier, brother Edwin “Butch” Dinslage.
