Oringa Wisnieski, 97, of Dodge, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Memorial services will be 10:30am Monday, December 18 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Rev. An Duy Phan as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a Vigil Service at 5:00pm all at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Oringa Wisnieski was born on October 5, 1920 to Joseph and Caroline’Lena’ (Rhode) Doernemann on the family farm northwest of Dodge. She attended school and boarded at Sacred Heart Academy at Olean. On November 12, 1942, Oringa married Albert’Abe’ Wisnieski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Olean. The couple farmed northwest of Dodge where Oringa was an active farm wife. The couple moved to town in 1981. Oringa was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She had many hobbies including painting ceramics and quilting. Oringa enjoyed having her beautiful flower garden. Survivors include daughters, Linda Mullins of Grand Junction, CO, Sandra (Micheal) Herzog of Ft. Calhoun, and Deborah Wisnieski of Omaha; grandchildren, Neal, Jay, and Toby Wegner and Michaelle Morales; great grandchildren, Jourdin Mitchell, Morgen Wegner, Amanda Wegner, Megann Wegner, Nathan Spruill, Nate Wegner, Alexa Wegner, Ona Wegner, and Ellie Wegner; great-great-granddaughter, Swayzee Mitchell; and sister, Ornitha Meiergerd of Dodge. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Abe Wisnieski; infant daughter, Nadine; sister, Dolores Robertsen; and brothers, Wilfred, Gerald, Donald, and Lambert Doernemann.
