Nettie Glaubius, 96, of Wisner died January 6, 2005 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Nettie was born February 16, 1908 on the family farm in rural Wayne County, Nebraska northwest of Wisner to Alfred and Lucy Ann McCauley Jones. She attended country school Dist. 32. On May 26, 1934 she married Elmer Glaubius at Greeley, Nebraska. The couple farmed north of Wisner before moving into Wisner in the late 1940’s where they owned and operated a Phillip 66 Gas Station. Nettie was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, having coffee with her friends. In earlier years she loved to dance. Survivors include a sister Violet (Elwood) Iverson of Hawarden, IA, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in January of 1990, brother George Jones, sisters Lucy Pemberton, Margaret Thorman and Mary Bolton. Services will be 11:00 am. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner with Reverend Alan Baglien officiating. Burial will be at the Wisner Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church or to the Wisner Senior Center.
