Nancy R. Kienbaum, 65, of rural Scribner, died March 18, 2008 at Good Samaritan in Scribner. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am. Friday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder with Reverend Gerry Weaver officiating. Burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Good Samaritan in Scribner. Visitation will be 2:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge with family receiving friends 5:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Nancy was born May 21, 1942 in Fremont to Herman and Ruth Loukota Chudomelka. She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic grade school and was a 1960 graduate of Dodge High School. On June 11, 1960 she married Nile Kienbaum at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder. The couple farmed southwest of Snyder where Nancy was active with gardening, raising chickens and harvest. Nancy worked off the farm at Big Moe’s in Snyder, Wagner’s and Scribner Steak house both in Scribner. In December of 2006 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Nancy was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder and Ladies Aid. She served on the Dodge County Election Board. Nancy enjoyed her work and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Nile, of Scribner, daughters Kim (Tom) Krienert of Scribner and Gina (Michael) Metschke of Snyder, grandchildren Cole and Kelsey Krienert and Chantal and Amber Metschke, and mother in law Lois Wolsleger of Fremont. She is preceded in death by sons Troy in 1970 and Jamie in 1973 and her parents. Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge is in charge of arrangements.
