Marjorie Hagedorn, 93, of West Point, died surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point.  Funeral Mass will be 10:30am on Saturday, March 9 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery with lunch following at the GACC Cafeteria.  Visitation with family present will be Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 7:00pm at church.  Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Elder Services Foundation.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Marjorie Ann Kaup was born December 2, 1930 on the family farm north of Dodge to Henry and Elizabeth (Heimann) Kaup.  She grew up on the farm and attended St. Aloysius Catholic School at Aloys. On June 23, 1954, Marjorie married Frank Hagedorn at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.  The couple farmed moving to West Point in 1981.  Marjorie worked at Wimmers Meat Products and the West Point News.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild, Christian Mothers, and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed baking, quilting, and doing things for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Lou (Lester) Petersen of West Point, Barbara (Steve) Ferguson of Hooper, Kathleen (Alan) Pagels of West Point, Lynette (Roger) Davis of Omaha, Cindy (Scott) Breitkreutz of Blair, and Christy (Eric) Jensen of Volin, SD; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Pat Kaup and Doris Kaup; and brother-in-law, Bob Hegemann.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank on February 24, 1992; son, Michael in 1983; grandson, Jesse Breitkreutz; sister, Alice Hegemann; brothers, Leander and Clarence Kaup; and brothers-in-law, Edmund (Joan) Hagedorn, Herman (Madeline) Hagedorn, and Joe (Leona) Hagedorn.
