Marilyn Wieneke, 65, of Dodge, died Thursday February 9, 2012 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, Reverend Pat McLaughlin as celebrant. Christian Mothers Rosary at 3:00 pm. Sunday and Wake Service 7 pm. Sunday at St. Wenceslaus Church. Visitation 3 pm. to 7 pm. at St. Wenceslaus Church. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Marilyn was born October 11, 1946 at West Point to Frank and Mary Semerad Vogeltanz. She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in Dodge and was a 1964 graduate of Dodge Public High School. She graduated from Bahner Beauty School in Fremont. On May 1, 1965, Marilyn married Kenneth Wieneke at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. The couple made their home and raised their family in Dodge. The whole family studied Tae Kwon Do, and Marilyn earned a black belt. Marilyn later received a massage therapy license and worked doing massages in Schuyler. In October of 2009, due to failing health, Marilyn became a resident of Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. Marilyn was an active member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church where she served as sacristan. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, of Dodge, sons Mark (Cindy) of West Point, Jeffrey (Allison) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Daniel (Shelly) of Osmond and Keith of Lincoln, grandchildren Kelsey, Paige, Dylan, Logan, Carson, and Kiarra. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Delwyn Vogeltanz.
