Margaret C. Neesen, 90, of West Point, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 atWest Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Friday, November 25th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 pm to 7 pm. Public Wake Service will be 7 pm Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. Margaret Christina Neesen was born February 26, 1921 in rural Cuming County to John and Anna (Kreikemeier) Wiesen. She attended country school in Dodge County. On April 8, 1942, she married Leo Neesen at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer. The couple farmed at Aloys moving to West Point in 1977. Margaret worked in the dietary department at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. She was a former member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, Guild and Christian Mothers. She loved tending to her vegetable garden and canning her produce. She is survived by sons Adrian (Nancy) of Grand Island, FL, Richard (JoAnn) of Manchester, NH, Bob of West Point, NE, Ralph (Sheri) of Neligh, NE and Valen (Sharon) of West Point, NE; brothers Cletus (Dorothy) Wiesen of Canby, MN and John (Jolene) Wiesen of Fremont, NE; sisters Emma Heimann of Dodge, NE, Mary Ann (Art) Reeson of West Point, NE and Elizabeth French of Boise, ID; sister in law Clara Wiesen of West Point, NE; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo, in 1989; infant son, Joseph; and brother Anton Wiesen.
