Margaret M Krienert, 83, of West Point, formerly of Snyder, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder, with Reverend Don Cleary as celebrant. Public wake will be 7 pm Friday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church with visitation Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at the church. Family will be present from 6 pm to 7 pm. Burial will be at St. Leo Cemetery, Snyder, NE. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Margaret Mae Krienert was born May 31, 1928 near Olean, NE to John and Adala (Reeson) Koester. She attended country school in Bancroft, and later at St. Leo’s in Snyder. Margaret worked in the Wisner area before marrying Adolph Krienert on October 9, 1951 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner. The couple farmed in the Snyder area, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder, Guild, and enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. She is survived by her children, Dan of North Bend, NE, Dave of Scribner, NE, Laure (Stuart) Osten of Leigh, NE, Tom (Kim) of Scribner, Tim (Kathy) of Fairmont, NE and Philip (Kristen) of West Point; grandchildren, Stacie Roberts, Shannon Trouba, Erica Varn, Brad Osten, Cole Krienert, Kelsey Krienert, Danielle Fairbanks, Derrick Krienert, Emilie Krienert, Gabrielle Krienert, Mason Krienert and Conrad Krienert; twelve great-grandchildren; brother George (Marcella) Koester of Wisner, NE; sisters Evelyn Hildebrandt of Davenport, IA and Marlene (John) Kerber of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adolph, January 5, 2011; and grand-daughter Melissa Krienert.
