Marcella Luebbert, 83, of Beemer, formerly of West Point, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Colonial Haven in Beemer. Memorial Mass will be 12:30 pm Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be 9 am to 5 pm at Stokely Funeral Home with Guild, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters Rosary at 1:30 pm Friday at Stokely Funeral Home. A Public Wake will be at 6:30 pm Friday at St. Mary’s. Memorials may be directed to Guardian Angels Central Catholic Endowment Fund or St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Marcella Margaret Luebbert was born October 5, 1929 on the family farm at Monterey to Bernard John “BJ” and Lena (Gentrup) Kreikemeier. She attended school at St. Boniface and was a 1948 graduate of Guardian Angels. On May 9, 1951, Marcella married Fred A. Luebbert at Monterey. She was a homemaker and provided full-time care for her son Gerald. Marcella was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild, Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers and the Extension Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and traveling, especially to Alaska and Germany. She was very proud of her Pioneer Family Farm Award and was a kind, loving mother to her family. Survivors include daughters Marlene (Tom H.) Knobbe of West Point, Sharon (Randy) Wegener of Humphrey, Diane (Osa) Hendricks of Omaha; son Gary (Mary) of Lincoln; brother Donald (Jeannie) Kreikemeier of Fremont; sister Betty (Dennis) Weiler of West Point; grandchildren Matt ( Amy) Knobbe, Doug (Blayne) Knobbe, Sara (Jason) Rolf, Katie Knobbe, Megan Knobbe, Ben (Brooke) Wegener, Beth (Aaron) Riedmiller, David (Kelli) Wegener, Daniel Wegener, Hillary and Caroline Hendricks, Ryan Luebbert, Phillip Luebbert, and Erin (Craig) Reier; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred in 2005; son Gerald in 1974; and brother Andrew Kreikemeier.
