Marcella M. Belling, 84 of Beemer, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Colonial Haven Nursing home in Beemer. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 Wednesday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer with Reverend Joe Wray as celebrant. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Marcella was born February 21, 1928 in Cuming County near Beemer to Steve and Mildred Vogeltanz Kafka. She was a 1945 Beemer High School graduate. On July 20, 1948, Marcella married Martin Belling at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer. The couple lived in Beemer, where Marcella worked at the grocery store and Tom’s Rexall. Marcella was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include son Dan (Frances) Belling of Lincoln, daughters Mary Lou (Richard) Hesse and Lori (Kim) Asmus both of Omaha, sister Delores Janowski of Beemer, sisters in law Dolly Kafka of Sioux City, IA and Debbie Kafka of Omaha.
