Lorraine Luebbert, 85, of West Point Died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild and Christian Mothers Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Friday and Public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Friday both at Stokely Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Friday. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Lorraine was born March 14, 1925 at West Point to Frank and Katherine Heimann Throener. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School. On April 29, 1948, Lorraine married Leo Luebbert at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The couple farmed until moving into West Point in 1970. Lorraine then worked in housekeeping at the West Point Hospital. Lorraine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her gardening and playing Bingo. Survivors include sons Eugene of Knoxville, IA, and Duane (Elizabeth) of Omaha, brother David (Gladys) Throener of West Point, grandchildren Lisa (Mike) Preston, Dale (Jenni) Luebbert, Jill and Andrew Luebbert, Luther Nash, and Chelsea (Alex) Nash-Wolfe, great grand children Rossignel Wolfe, William and Thomas Preston. She is preceded in death by her husband Leo in 2002, sons Dale in 1970 and Randy in 2001, and brother Leo Throener.
