Lillian Ann Reznicek, 89, of Dodge, died Tuesday December 7, 2010, surrounded by her daughters, at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Patrick McLaughlin as celebrant. Christian Mother’s Rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm. Thursday and Vigil services at 7:00 pm. Thursday, both at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 pm. until Vigil time at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Stokely Funeral Home of Dodge is in charge of arrangements. Lillian was born December 16, 1920 on a farm near Wilson in Colfax County to Anton and Annie Maliha Fendrick. She attended country school, and as a young woman, helped attend the family’s general store, Bissel’s. On March 2, 1943, Lillian married George Reznicek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Wilson. The couple farmed 5 miles south of Dodge retiring into Dodge in 1981. Lillian was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. She was fond of all sorts of needle and hand work but her favorite was quilting. She enjoyed caring for a large flower garden on the farm and continued her love of flower gardening in town. Lillian loved to cook for and spend time with all members of her family, they in return got to eat her own special cooking and enjoy her wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include her daughters Phyllis (Marland) Novacek of Linwood, LaVonne (James) Novak Dlouhy of Dodge, Donna (Billy) Leonard of Broken Arrow, OK, Pauline (Eric Hindman) Reznicek of Columbia, MD, and Sandra (Bill) Sautter of Sioux City, IA, grandchildren Ann (Pat) Benes, Jim (Connie) Novacek, Karen (Marion) Freudenberg, David (Theresa) Novak, Dean (Brenda) Novak, Colleen Novak, Keith Novak, Michelle (Curtis) Cummings, John Leonard, Mike (Lynn) Leonard, Becca Sautter, Nathan (Joy) Sautter and Matthew Sautter, 5 step grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, sisters Arlene Hegemann and Lorene Hegemann both of Howells, sisters in law Joan Fendrick of Columbus, Wylma Reznicek of West Point, and Anna Kempf of Graettinger, IA. She is preceded in death by her husband, George, on July 23, 2008, brothers Lumir, Milo, Jerome, Loren, and Dennis Fendrick and sisters Helen Fendrick, Jeroma Pavel, and son in law William Novak.
