Letty, Irma, and I have been friends for almost 20 years. I baptized Joshua and Letty was God-Mother to my daughter, Sofia. Together, the three of us experienced life together. We shared a million laughs and thousands of hopes and dreams. I remember you coming to visit so the boys could swim and play in the pool. You’d bring a carload of groceries and we would cook, eat, and LAUGH like drunks! Those are memories I will continue to cherish. When you moved to Oklahoma with David, it was the BEST decision of your life, and I regret not being able to meet up with yall and say goodbye. I remember you called me the day you left, you had gone thru Dallas and within sight of Oklahoma. You told me there was nothing but thunderstorms and rain the whole drive up, until you got to Oklahoma, where the sun came out and blue skies ruled the rest of the afternoon. I imagined that being a sign of all the happiness that was about to fall upon you and Josh. David, Joshua and Jacob, I find myself not being able to see me dear friend off once again. Please know that every one of the countless pieces of my broken heart will be there with you. The pain of your loss is great, but in time, the great big hole in your heart will be filled with the memory of your mother’s love.
