Lenora was the youngest daughter of Christ and Caroline *Lena* Pagels Jahnke. She was born October 29, 1924, at the family farm near Bancroft. Lenora graduated from Zion Lutheran School and was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, graduated from Zion Lutheran School, and West Point High School in 1942. Following graduation, Lenora worked as a bookkeeper for Baumann Department Store in West Point andhelped on the family farm. Lenora served as Deputy County Judge, was employed with Northwestern Bell, and in the admitting office at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. In 1962, she became the Deputy County Treasurer, then County Treasurer in 1972 and was re-elected in 1974, 1978 and 1982, retiring in 1986. Lenora will be remembered as the primary caregiver to her parents and was their constant daily companion. She is survived by sister, Laura Zimmerman, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Caroline, Dora and Gertrude Jahnke, Luella Kollmorgen and Alverna Engelbart; brothers, Donald and John Jahnke.
