Larry L. Toelle, 71, of West Point, died Friday, March 6, 2026, at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point.  Funeral service will be 10:30am on Wednesday, March 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery with lunch following at the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Cafeteria.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Larry Lee Toelle was born October 31, 1954, in West Point, NE, to Ferdinand and Arlene (Camin) Toelle. Larry grew up in West Point and graduated from West Point High in 1973. He worked for Grain States Soya, Pete’s Feed, Wimmer’s Meat Processing, and finally retired from the West Point Dairy.

Larry enjoyed softball and basketball leagues in his younger years transitioning to watching his nephew and great nephews play all their youth and high school sports. He was one of their biggest fans throughout the years. Larry also enjoyed taking care of his small cow herd and his chickens, giving away the area’s best “farm fresh eggs” to family and friends. His daily routine included a trip to Petro Mart in West Point to pick up the newspapers and “scratchers” as he called them (Powerball tickets to the rest of us), always hoping to hit it big.

He is survived by his brother Michael Toelle of West Point; sister Kim (Keith) Doerneman of West Point and family, Laura (Justin) Schuetze, Evan, Landon, and Connor of West Point, and Luke (Emily) Doerneman, Palmer, Major, and Wells of Pender.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
