LaDonna Rae Ortmeier, 61, of Dodge, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Reverend Dennis DeGuzman, Reverend paul Ortmeier and Reverend Francis Kubart as concelebrants. Public Wake Services will be 7:30 pm. Thursday and Christian Mothers’ Rosary will be at 3:00 pm. Thursday, both at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice or to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Visitation will be 2:00 pm. until 8:30 pm. Thursday at St. Wenceslaus. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. LaDonna was born December 8, 1943 at West Point to Raymond and Audrey Hanzel Schulze. As a child she lived on the farm, moving into Dodge in 1958 where she attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from Dodge High School in 1961. She received her Registered Nurse Degree from St. Catherine’s School of Nursing in Omaha. On November 28, 1964, she married Clarence Ortmeier at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. The couple made their home on the farm north west of Dodge. LaDonna worked as charge nurse at Park View Nursing Home in Dodge as well as Merrick Manor in Fremont until March of 2003. She had been living with pancreatic cancer for the last two and a half years. LaDonna was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed golfing at Indian Trails Country Club, dancing, and traveling to spend time with her beloved children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Clarence, of Dodge, daughters Debra (Antonio) Quiroz of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Julie Ortmeier of Arlington, Virginia, and Stacie Ortmeier of West Point, son Jeff (Kim) of Wichita, Kansas, parents Raymond and Audrey Schulze of Dodge, brothers Richard (Peggy) Schulze of Chicago, Illinois, and Tom (Julie) of Clarkson, grandchildren Lily, Nicholas, and Margaret Quiroz and Alex Ortmeier.
