Kenneth “Kenny” Schlecht, 63, of West Point died Monday, March 20, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with family present from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point.  Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Hope Cemetery.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Kenneth William Schlecht was born October 26, 1959 in West Point to William and Marcella (Johnson) Schlecht.  Kenny grew up on the family farm and attended West Point Public Schools, graduating in 1979.  He was a hard worker, helping on the family farm as well as working for the Cuming County Public Power District for many years.  His most recent employment included mowing and maintenance at Mount Hope Cemetery and assisting West Point Monument.  Kenny enjoyed visiting with people and being of service to others.

Survivors include his mother Marcella of West Point; sister Cyndy Beune and husband Robert Marksmeier of West Point, brother Ronald (Eileen) of West Point and Stanley of Beemer; nieces, Diana (Dan) Koger and family, Amy (Ben) Heller and family; and nephew, Kevin Beune and daughter.

He was preceded by his father and brother-in-law Jeff Beune.
