Judith Peatrowsky, 55, of Henderson, NV, died Thursday May 20, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial with military honors at St. Michael’s Cemetery followed by a lunch at Guardian Angels Cafeteria. Wake services will be 7:30 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home Chapel in West Point. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Judy was born August 13, 1954 at Atkinson, Nebraska to Dale and LaVonne Silhacek Retzlaff. Judy grew up in West Point and graduated from West Point Public High School in 1972. She enlisted in the US Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman from August of 1973 to August of 1977. Judy graduated from North East Nebraska Community College with a Licensed Practical Nurse degree and worked in the West Point and Beemer nursing homes and St. Francis Memorial Hospital Home Health and Hospice. On April 28, 1986, Judy married LeRoy Peatrowsky in Elk Point South Dakota. The couple moved to Henderson, Nevada where Judy was employed at VA southern Nevada Health Care System until her health would no longer allow. Judy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, American Legion and West Point Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy of Henderson, NV, step daughter Tracy Peatrowsky, step grandchildren Kelsey and Lexi, sister Becky (Bill) Kollars of Randolph, and brother Gary (Lydia) Retzlaff of North Las Vegas, NV. She is preceded in death by her parents and step son Troy Peatrowsky.
