Jennifer Marie Christensen, 34, of Missouri Valley, formerly of West Point, died March 21, 2007 at her home. Memorial Services will be 11:00 am. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend Donald Olson officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Wednesday with family present 5:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Jennifer was born August 4, 1972 in West Point to Leland and Jean Meyer Christensen and was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. She attended West Point Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1991. Jennifer received clerical and data entry training from the Job Corp in Chadron, Nebraska and Excelsior Springs, Missouri. In 1998 she moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa where she was employed at Perfection Learning Inc. until 2006 and worked part time at Medicine Chest for 5 years. Jennifer was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. She enjoyed knitting, reading, watching her “soaps” and movies. She loved spending time with her cat, Honey, and her nephew Spencer. Survivors include her mother and step father Jean and Gerald Wortman of Missouri Valley, Iowa, brother Scott (Christy) Christensen of Clive, Iowa, grandparents Shirley and Roger Flock of West Point, nephew Spencer Christensen, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding her in death was her father Leland in 1992, maternal grandfather, Melvin Meyer, and paternal grandparents Wayne and Margery Christensen.
