Jeanette Schmader, 80, of West Point, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass 10:30 am. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home. Public Wake will be 7:00 pm. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 5:00 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home then continue at the Church. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jeanette C. Schmader was born July 17, 1932 in Dodge County, Nebraska to John and Bernadine (Lodes) Yosten. She grew up in Snyder and was a 1949 graduate of Snyder High School. On November 14, 1951, Jeanette married Harold Schmader at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder. The couple lived in West Point where they raised their family and were business partners. Jeanette was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters. She was a proud mother and grandmother and took good care of her family. She is survived by her husband, Harold of West Point; daughters Carol (Bruce) Westphalen of Grand Island, Connie (Mike) Batenhorst of West Point, and Kari (Brent) Simonsen of West Point; sons Lynn Schmader of Fremont and Dale (Marla) Schmader of West Point; grandchildren Jennifer (Keith) Kreikemeier, Lora (Andy) Harms, Rachel (Joe) Bilek, Jared Schmader, Chad (Michelle) Westphalen, Amy Westphalen, Candice and Lucas Batenhorst, Riley, Chett and Tessa Simonsen; great-grandchildren Ethan, Halle, and Simon Kreikemeier, Abby andNathan Harms, Adalynn Bilek and Cole Westphalen; and brother Dan Yosten of West Point. She was preceded in death by her parents.
