Jeanette Lichtenberg, 79, of West Point, formerly of Dodge, died Sunday March 31, 2013 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Patrick McLaughlin officiating. Burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday, with family present 5:00 to 7:00pm, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. A memorial has been established. Jeanette Darlene Brichacek was born August 22, 1933 in Colfax County to Adolph E. and Lillian Ladehoff Brichacek. Jeanette attended District 22 grade school and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1951. On October 7, 1953, she married Joseph Lichtenberg at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Tabor. The couple moved to California for Joe’s military service, then returned to the family farm south of Dodge, where they raised their children. Once the children were school-age, Jeanette worked for Parkview Nursing Home, retiring after 32 years of service. She moved to West Point in 2009. Jeanette is survived by daughters Nadine (Curtis) Anderson of Crystal, MN and Joleen (Lynn) Wooldrik of Scribner; son Gary and special friend LaDonna Myers of King Lake; grandchildren Joshua and Jacob Anderson, Dr. Danielle Wooldrik, and Cody Wooldrik; and brother Gerald (Sharon) Brichacek. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 2006, her parents, and younger brother Gilbert. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
