Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday at Grace Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday 12 to 8 with family present 6 to 8 at Stokely Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Mount Hope Cemetery. Janice Eileen Kindschuh was born November 2, 1943 in Denison, IA to Elvin and Olivia Roper Pierce. She moved to West Point as a child and attended St. Paul Lutheran School. She was a 1962 graduate of West Point High School. On October 20, 1963, Janice married Larry “Butch” Kindschuh. The couple made their home and raised their family in West Point. Janice started her own decorating business, The Woman’s Touch, specializing in painting and wallpapering. She retired after 25 years in 2008. Janice was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and tending to her flower gardens. Janice will be remembered for her love of family. Survivors include her husband Larry “Butch” of West Point, daughter Sharon Kindschuh, of Beemer, Steve (Tonja) Kindschuh of Gretna, sister Evelyn (Joe) Dunn of Ogallala, brothers Arlyn (Merna) Pierce of West Point and Kenneth (Judy) Pierce of South Bend, OR, granddaughters Tiffany, Lindsey, Courtney, Jamie, Haley, and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Daryl Pierce.
