Janet Baumert, 57, of West Point, NE died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 am to 7 pm Friday at Stokely Funeral Home, with Public Wake Service at 7 pm Friday at Stokely Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or NorthStar Services. Janet Mary Baumert was born January 23, 1955 in West Point, NE to Alfons and Christina (Meister) Baumert. She attended Mount Olive School near Oakland, NE for people with disabilities, then Region IV-North Star from 1978 until 2011. She moved to West Point Living Center from the North Star group home in 2011. Janet was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by sisters Lois Williams of Suffern, NY, Mary (Bryan) Downey of Fremont and Cathy Baumert of West Point; brother, Daniel (Ilene) Baumert of Fremont; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfons in September 2012, and her mother, Christina in March 2011 and brother in law, Bob Williams in 1998
