Jacqueline Jean “Jackie” Perry, 76, of West Point, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Vicar Christopher Honig officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Monday with family receiving friends 5 until 7 at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics, American Diabetes Assoc. or Mount Hope Cemetery. Jackie was born March 2, 1935, at Rising City to Morris and Elizabeth Kilgore Perry. In 1947, the family moved to West Point, where Jackie attended West Point Public School and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Jackie lived with her parents until the early 1970s, then after a brief stay in Norfolk, she moved to Wayne and lived with North Star Services. Jackie worked various jobs and enjoyed the various fun activities along with her friends and co workers. In March of 2007, Jackie returned to live in West Point. She enjoyed watching live baseball games, working puzzles, making ceramics, playing Bingo and cards. Jackie competed in Special Olympics and was proud of the medals she won. Jackie had a special affection for all her care givers, especially Angie Ortmeier, residential manager of North Star, for all her years of caring and compassion. Jackie is survived by sisters Marilyn (Dennis ) Beck of Snyder, Doris (Gene) Zobel of West Point, Maxine, (Lynn) Poppe of Omaha, brothers Robert (Vivian) Perry of Lee Summit, MO, and Merlyn (Brenda) Perry of West Point, sister in law Theresa Perry of West Point, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dean Perry, and brothers in law Cal Roth and Ken Repschlaeger.
