Jacob David Wiechman, Omaha, 42 went to heaven on August 24, 2025 at his home. Memorial Mass will be 10:30am on Tuesday, September 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Rev. Taylor Leffler as celebrant. Lunch will be at the Nielsen Center. Private family burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a Vigil Service at 5:00pm at St. Mary’ Catholic Church.  Memorials may be to the family for future designation.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Jake was born May 12, 1983 to Dave and Jody Wiechman in West Point, NE.  He attended Guardian Angels grade school, graduating from West Point Central Catholic High School. Following his graduation, he earned his degree in graphic design from The Creative Center in Omaha.  His speciality was in web design, creating apps, marketing and branding.  His talent was immense and was sought out by fellow entrepreneurs for his special gift for original and inventive ideas.

Jake had a profound love of nature and the great outdoors.  He loved hiking, biking and running.  His love of running led him to multiple marathons.  He qualified and ran the Chicago and Boston Marathon where his family cheered him on.

Jake had a gentle spirit and giving heart.  He felt deeply for his family and friends.  His relationship with the Lord was important to him.  His reunion with his dad, Dave was a celebration for them but is bringing a true sense of loss to others with an amazing life cut too short.

Jake leaves behind his mom, Jody Wiechman of West Point; sister, Sadi (Nick) VonSeggern, nephews and nieces Mason, Everly and Wyatt of McCook Lake, SD; and sister, Abby (Jason) Kreikemeier and niece Lily of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his father, David; grandparents, LeRoy and Rita Wiechman, Raymond Popken, Don Burger,  and Lois Burger; and uncles, Jon Burger and Rick Herian; and cousin, KayDEE Wiechman.
