Irma V. Heimann, 91, of West Point, Sunday, died June 16, 2007 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point with Reverend Gerry Gonderinger officiating. Burial will occur at a later date at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild and Christian Mother’s Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics or St. Michael’s Cemetery. Irma was born July 24, 1915 on the farm north of Dodge to Frank and Julia Vlach Janecek. She attended Dodge Public School until age 16. On December 27, 1933 she married Albert Heimann at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Omaha. The couple farmed at Monterey, moving into West Point in 1979. Irma worked in the kitchen at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Irma was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed quilting with the other ladies of the church. She enjoyed games of all types and traveling. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Survivors include daughters Carol (Dr. Michael) McConnell of San Antonio, TX, Elaine (Gerry) Ridder of West Point, and Judy (Harley) Charlson of Lincoln, sons Harold of Wayne, Albert, Jr. (Carmel) and Duane (Laura) both of Omaha, David (Olice) of Los Angeles, CA and Mark (Theresa) of Lincoln, sister Marie Pospishil of West Point, brother William “Bill” (Lorraine) Janecek of Dodge, and sister in law MargaretJanecek of Dodge, 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert in March of 2006 and a brother Eldon Janecek.
