Hildegard Emilie Marie Stuckenschmidt, 94, of West Point, died July 2, 2006 at Colonial Haven Nursing Home. Services will be 1:30 pm. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Kevin Cook officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery rural Pender. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Wednesday with family receiving friends 6:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com.Hildegard was born January 17, 1912 on the family farm near Bancroft to Gustav and Dorothea Jahnke Stuckenschmidt. She was baptized and confirmed and Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft where she also attended school. On October 8, 1938, she married Alvin Stuckenschmidt in Omaha. The couple farmed north east of West Point before retiring to West Point in 1981. In 1999, Hildegard moved to Colonial Haven Nursing Home at Beemer. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. They were former members of St. John’s Lutheran Church rural Pender. Hildegard was actively involved with farm life. In retirement she enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and working puzzles. She will be remembered as being a good cook and for her wonderful flower garden. Survivors include daughters Janice (Fred) Woerner and Judy Kramer (Richard Erickson) both of West Point, a son Lauren (Chris) of Lincoln, brother Leo (Nelta) leitow of West Point, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in June of 1982, a daughter Norma Jean and a son, both in infancy, sister Adela Redding and brothers Louis and Lorenz Leitow.
