Henrietta Bracht, 100, of West Point, died Sunday March 28, 2010 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild and Catholic Daughters Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home and public Wake services will be 7:00 pm. at St. Joseph’s Retirement Community Chapel. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 4:00 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home and 5:00 pm. until Wake time at St. Joseph’s Retirement Community. Stokely Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Henrietta was born October 31, 1909 on the family farm west of Aloys in Cuming County to Albert and Mary Neesen Bracht. She attended school at St. Boniface Catholic School. Henrietta worked as a hired girl in the area before becoming housekeeper for Monsignor Herman Kaup in Randolph before his assignment to West Point in 1951. She later worked at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Henrietta was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed working word jumbles and reading. Survivors include sisters Ida Bracht of West Point and Sr. Alfreda Bracht, OSF of Mishawka, IN, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters Elizabeth, Mary, and Sr. Celestine Bracht, brothers Anton, Ben, Reverend Clement Bracht and infant brother Joseph.
